Here is some of my favorites – actors, actresses and comedians. I’m sure I’ve forgotten about some but here you can read why I admire these people and their work.

Lena Headey
Such a smart, beautiful, funny and all lovely person and great actress! It’s sad that she haven’t been given the best opportunities to play in that many good films but you really should watch Aberdeen where she stars along with Stellan Skarsgård. She’s incredible in the role! You might know her from playing a lesbian alongside Piper Perabo in Imagine Me & You, as the queen in 300, as Sarah Connor in the The Sarah Connor Chronicles and of course in the currently airing series Game of Thrones! I have been a fan of hers since her early career when she was in the Disney film The Jungle Book and then with Face when she co-starred with Robert Carlyle (see below!)

Cate Blanchett
She doesn’t really need a presentation, does she? This gorgeous Australian actress has been a favorite of mine since 1999 when I saw her in Elizabeth and Pushing Tin. She then always showed up in movies I was watching, such as The Missing, The Lord of the Rings and of course in my favorites Notes on a Scandal and I’m Not There.. I think she’s one of the most talented actresses in the movie business today and I will never get over, how well she played Bob Dylan.

Maria Bello
I have always liked Maria and found her really charming and I love the fact that she always speaks her mind and doesn’t care if she comes out as too frank. I think she’s incredible beautiful, talented and funny and she has been one of my very favorites for a long time. And I think she’s so brave to show herself as a “real” woman in The Cooler – that made me love her even more! I have seen a lot of Maria’s films but I haven’t gotten to chance to see all I want yet. But I always look forward seeing new things with Maria and she will always be on my top #5 of favorites.

Kate Winslet
Everyone knows how great Kate is. But to repeat it. Drop dead gorgeous, smart, funny and so incredible talented! I’ve liked her since Heavenly Creatures (I saw everything Peter Jackson had made as a young teenager), she could had skipped Titanic but I guess it lead her to her fantastic career. Her scene in Revolutionary Road when she “reacts” to Leonardo DiCaprio’s unfaithfulness just gives me the shivers. One of my top 10 scenes! Will always admire Mrs. Winslet and follow her projects.

Piper Perabo
I have always liked Piper even though I hated Coyote Ugly with such passion when it came out in 2000. But I watched it because it had both Maria Bello and Piper in it and hot girls are hot girls even in crappy films.

Uma Thurman
Fan since childhood, seems to be such a lovely lovely person with a warm heart. And she’s so beautiful that it’s insane. It’s really sad she does such boring films nowadays but I will always have her as a favorite and just to think of her parts in the 3 Quentin Tarantino films (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2 she has done is enough to admire her forever! Such a shame she hasn’t gotten that many interesting parts lately.

Julianne Moore
I have always liked Julianne a lot and I think she’s so beautiful! She one of those I have seen most films with but I don’t know that much about her. I always forget that she’s quiet short 1.63 cm and I always imagine her like a tall person. But anyways she’s in The Big Lebowski, A Single Man and so many other fabulous films. I find her very interesting and attractive, I’ve always had a thing for red heads!

Natascha McElhone
I have had a celebrity crush for her in so many years now. She’s so beautiful I drop my jaw every time I see her. And not just that! She’s an incredible actress and I have seen most of her projects and always followed her career. And I love her in Californication, she’s great on that show and I kind of want to marry this woman.

Vera Farmiga
I l o v e this woman! She’s so incredibly talented and has such a wonderful personality! She has always been one of my favorites and will continue to be. I really hope she gets more good roles, I have followed her since her early career and I think she’s so good! I didn’t like Up in the Air but if it leads to better roles then I guess it’s a good thing. If you don’t know a lot about her be sure to check out some of her films!

Juliette Lewis
This is big nostalgia! She’s my childhood “hero” with so many good films and performances! I love this woman but I kind of lost interest after many years of fan dom and she was so up with her music stuff (which isn’t just bad! it’s simple pop/rock which works) and no films that interests me that much. But Mallory Knox in Natural Born Killers is probably my favorite character of all times!
And I think the scientology thing is a bit strange… But I will always see Juliette’s films and follow her career.
I mean the actors/actresses in the early 90′s with their more natural looks and acting and everything. It just seems to have been better then

Robert Carlyle
Oh gosh! This goes way back! I remember having trouble sleeping as a child and I turned on my TV to watch something and there was this mini series called Looking After Jo Jo and I was just breath taken by Robert. I thought he was the most good looking man I’d ever seen and I think I wanted to marry him, haha. It’s kind of sick now that I think about it because I was just a child
Anyways I saw him in Trainspotting, The Full Monty and I always kept on seeing his films by accident through my whole childhood. And then when films was more easier to “get” I have seen probably all his work and I think he’s the best actor ever! AND I can’t get over with how attractive he is. My boyfriend is so tired of me talking about Robert, and everyone makes jokes about me and Robert. But anyways I think I outgrew him in height when I was like 12, but he’s Scottish so I wouldn’t mind feeling like giant!
If you haven’t seen his work be sure to do so because I think he has played everything that is possible! A cannibal, Adolf Hitler, a James Bond villain, a gay guy having an affair with a Catholic priest, a crazy sociopath, a working class guy getting money as a stripper and well the list goes on and on.

Larry David
I think most people know who he is and I think he’s my soul mate. Everything he says and does is just what I’ve been thinking about. I have never laughed so much as when watching his series Curb Your Enthusiasm. I would marry Larry!

Ricky Gervais
I know a lot of people don’t like him but I think he’s a pure genius! His series The Office and Extras are so darn funny and he just gets dialogue and funny situation in to a wonderful mix. I think people like him are needed in the superficial and a lot of time lame Hollywood and I haven’t laughed so much in a long time since I saw him presenting the Golden Globes. The faces of the celebrities!
Some others
Angelina Jolie (And I think that I should mention Angelina, I loved her in Foxfire, Gia, Pushing Tin and Girl, Interrupted! Lisa Rowe comes after Mallory Knox in favorite characters. But I’m not even sure if she is a good actress or not. She was amazing in Gia and Girl, Interrupted and she was funny when she wasn’t the mainstream Hollywood doll, with her shaved head and daggers. I used to have one of the very first fansites ever on her! There is something with Lisa Rowe in Girl, Interrupted that speaks to me as well as with Gia. But I can’t understand how anyone would date Brad Pitt – Juliette Lewis even did so before he was famous, haha!)
Hilary Swank (I loved her beyond words in Boys Don’t Cry and I used to be a big fan but I’m not sure anymore if she really is an amazing actress. Not to sound harsh but I recognize her gestures and mimic in almost every part and her “speeches” in all her films. I really like Million Dollar Baby even though it was a bit “American” sometimes but I like Clint
)
Penélope Cruz (I started to love Penélope around 2006 and later on when Volver came out I was stuck! I have such love and admiration for this gorgeous Spanish woman! I have seen almost all her films and I got very interested in Spanish movies because of her. I still adore her but her recent work doesn’t interest me too much)
Others I should mention
Eva Green (Can’t really decide whether to like her or not… she did some good parts and is cute I suppose. And she and I have a lot in common considering interests and likes after what I’ve seen in quotes and trivia. Perhaps that’s why I can’t decide whether to like her or not, haha.)
Jessica Biel (This is really embarrassing but I just think she’s so hot… I used to watch that crappy series 7th Heaven when I was a child because we had so few channels and that was on after school. I always loved the fact that she was like the ONLY person in whole Hollywood that had some real curves, she had “big” lovely thighs, butt and all good looking and seems to be very sweet as a person. But now she’s anorectic like everyone else in the film business and she dates Justin Timberlake. Which is yuck! But most importantly, I don’t know if she can act well… I have never seen her in any challenging parts :/)
Ellen Page (so promising, so intelligent, so funny and so cute!), Patricia Arquette, Mena Suvari, John Goodman, Christopher Walken, Mark Webber, Willem Dafoe, Gary Oldman, Mads Mikkelsen, Sam Rockwell, Paul Bettany, Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush.
Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino, they don’t need presentations. They are just amazing. I wanted to be a maffia boss as a child because of them. Will always love and admire their work. And Al Pacino in Scarface when he has that HUGE mountain of coke and he’s just goes nuts, one of the funniest scenes ever.
